In 2011, Côte d’Ivoire’s civil war hits the village of Ziglo hard. Violence erupts between native communities and immigrant populations, leaving many dead. In the absence of state justice, Josiane—known as “Maman Jo”—creates a space for women from all communities to speak, aiming to restore dialogue, reconciliation, and life in the village.
